The Office of Developmental
Disabilities Services (ODDS) supports more than 30,000 adults and children with
intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Oregon.
ODDS contracts with local Community
Developmental Disabilities Programs (CDDPs) and Support Services Brokerages to
provide case management and other services for children and adults with I/DD.
Oregon’s services for people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities are focused on in-home community
supports and residential homes in the community. Residential settings include I/DD
foster homes and 24-hour residential group homes. The number of individuals
residing in each home is on average three to four. Group homes are run by an
agency using rotating staff shifts. Adult I/DD foster care homes are owned by
an individual who may also live in the home along with the residents.

Cases of COVID-19 in I/DD Foster Homes and Group Homes
Per policy, all ODDS providers are required to have an emergency
plan with protocols in place for keeping people safe. They are also taking
extra precautions. These are cases of COVID-19 reported by the agency providers
to ODDS. Group homes and I/DD foster settings typically have about 3-4
individuals residing in each home. To protect
individuals’ privacy, we are providing general information about homes that
have reported that a resident or staff member has COVID-19.
