Exam dates
Administration dates for the Landscape Architect Registration Examination (LARE) are set by the Council of Landscape Architect Registration Boards (CLARB), not the Board. CLARB administers the LARE three times per year, in spring, summer, and late fall (which CLARB calls the winter administration).
There is one remaining administration for 2026:
- November 30 - December 16, last day to register November 24
The administrations for 2027 are listed below:
- March 29 - April 14, last day to register March 10
- July 26 - August 11, last day to register July 7
- November 29 - December 15, last day to register November 10

Oregon examination candidates go directly to CLARB to register for examination.
Exam fees
The Board does not collect any fees related to examination. Examination fees must be paid directly to CLARB as part of the LARE registration process. CLARB fees for the LARE sections are listed below for reference only. CLARB may also charge other administrative fees.
