Coastal Data, Tools and Publications

The Oregon Coastal Management Program (OCMP) staff are continually developing data and information products that assist local governments and network partners with coastal management related questions.

Data

OCMP develops and curates geospatial datasets that are available for download from the Oregon Coastal Atlas. The program focuses on data products that inform decision-making related to the Oregon Coastal Zone. An example is the inventories required by the four coastal goals: estuarine resources, beaches and dunes, shorelands, and ocean resources.

The best way to access OCMP data catalog is to Search the Oregon Coastal Atlas.

Tools

OCMP has created a variety of online resources, viewers, and GIS applications. Some of the most popular include:

Oregon Shore Explorer

Oregon Coastal Atlas

Oregon ShoreZone

Oregon Explorer

Portals

OCMP contributes to the West Coast Ocean Data Portal - a project to increase discovery, and connectivity of ocean and coastal data and people to better inform regional resource management, policy development, and ocean planning.
