Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS)

Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) are laws enacted by the legislature to provide policy, mandates and permissive laws.
 Note: The Board's enabling statutes can be found at ORS 675.705 - .835.

Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs)

The Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) are an agency’s directives, standards, regulations or statements of general applicability that implement, interpret or prescribe law or policy or describe a procedure or practice requirement.

Code of Ethics

The 2014 American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics constitutes the required professional conduct of licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists, and licensure applicants including registered interns.  Its goal is the welfare and protection of the individuals and groups with whom counselors and therapists work.
