Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund

March 2026 funding update

In March 2026, the Oregon Legislature redirected state funding from several ODOT programs and projects to address the agency's funding gap for the 2025-2027 budget cycle. The Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund program was not affected by this funding redirection.

Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund

The Statewide Transportation Improvement Fund (STIF) program was established in Section 122 of House Bill 2017 to provide a dedicated source of funding for improving, maintaining, and expanding public transportation for all users. STIF funding supports access to jobs, improved mobility, congestion relief, and reductions in greenhouse gas emission across Oregon.
