Construction of all major elements on OR 217 is complete!

¡La construcción de todos los elementos principales en OR 217 ha finalizado! Para información en español, visite la página titulada Información Sobre el Proyecto.

We're celebrating the completion of all major elements of the OR 217 Auxiliary Lanes Project - delivered on time after four years of planned construction. We worked to improve safety and address longstanding bottlenecks on OR 217 by adding auxiliary lanes, or ramp to ramp connections, between Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and OR 99W. In partnership with the City of Beaverton and Washington County, the project also included targeted improvements to local bicycle and pedestrian routes.  We expect that the new improvements will decrease crashes on the highway by 20-30% and save over 73,000 hours of travel time every year.

Final touches, clean-up, and landscaping work will continue into 2026. You will continue to see some construction barrels, cones, and equipment in place as crews complete this remaining work. We will continue to update this website regularly to reflect any minimal impacts.

Watch the project completion video or view the project factsheet to learn more about the key improvements.
