Learn about OReGO

OReGO logoIn Oregon, we fund transportation through the fuels tax. For every gallon of fuel purchased, 40 cents goes to the State Highway Fund, which pays to maintain roads and bridges.

As passenger vehicles become more fuel-efficient or electric, Oregon needs a new revenue source to maintain a safe, accessible and reliable transportation system. OReGO is one solution to help fund transportation in Oregon.

To protect an individual's privacy, OReGO partners with private companies. These business partners only report the miles driven to the DMV and pay the 2 cents per mile fee that goes into the State Highway fund.
