Fingerprint Requirements

All applicants must provide fingerprints for a state and federal criminal history record check. All fingerprints are processed through the Oregon State Police (OSP) and the FBI. A history of criminal activity will be reviewed and may result in the denial of your application.

Fieldprint Inc

Please visit Fieldprint Inc's website to schedule an appointment to have your fingerprints taken and transmitted electronically. Fieldprint Inc offers services nationwide. Visit www.fieldprintoregon.com for more information.

To register, use this Fieldprint code: FPOMBLicenseDAS

Before you go, condition your fingers. Health care professionals may have difficultly obtaining quality fingerprints due to dry hands from frequent hand washing. Moisturize or apply cornhusker’s oil on your hands prior to fingerprinting to help “raise” the prints, making them easier to read.

If Oregon State Police or the FBI rejects your fingerprints because of poor quality, Fieldprint Inc or the Oregon Medical Board will notify you to schedule retakes.

If a Fieldprint Inc location is not available in your area, please contact the Licensing Call Center at (971) 673-2700 or fingerprints@omb.oregon.gov for more information.

Processing Time

The average fingerprint processing time is 2 - 4 weeks. If you have questions regarding the status of your fingerprint processing, contact the Oregon Medical Board. Do not attempt to contact the Oregon State Police. Submit questions about the fingerprinting process by email to the Licensing Department at fingerprints@omb.oregon.gov.
