Employment Opportunities

The Oregon Medical Board is privileged to license and regulate physicians, podiatric physicians, physician associates and acupuncturists, who constitute one of the finest groups of health care professionals in the country. It is our mission to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of Oregon citizens by regulating the practice of medicine in a manner that promotes access to quality care. Because the OMB is responsible for caring for the needs of a diverse population and thriving health care community, we simply must have the best and brightest workforce.

We are dedicated to building a diverse community, where employees feel a sense of belonging, are valued for their contributions and the perspectives they bring, and where everyone has the opportunity to do meaningful work. We encourage staff at the OMB to bring their authentic selves to work every day. It's the unique contributions of everyone that drive our mission to success.

The OMB office is located in downtown Portland, however, some of our day-to-day tasks are being accomplished in remote work settings. We are embracing this change through a hybrid work environment. The OMB is proving that government can be more efficient by challenging ourselves to find process innovations through new work environments.

We offer a variety of benefits to support wellness and work life balance of our employees and their families:
  • Hybrid work opportunities
  • Flexible schedules
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Paid vacation, sick, and personal leave
  • 11 paid state holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Pension and retirement plans

We value candidates with a passion for service and the desire to contribute to our high-performing team. If you are interested in a career that makes a difference for your community and state, the Oregon Medical Board might be the right place for you.
