New southern Oregon bus service helps people make connections
New southern Oregon bus - the POINT
Dubbed the Southwest POINT, short for Public Oregon Intercity Transit, the new service, originating in Klamath Falls, takes travelers to Crescent City and Brookings via Medford and Grants Pass. The Oregon Department of Transportation's Public Transit Division is coordinating the new six-day-a-week service, helping passengers connect to both Amtrak and Greyhound as well as other regional transit systems.

The Public Transit Division retained Cogan Owens Cogan, LLC to conduct interviews with transit providers, key stakeholders, and citizens in eight diverse communities around the state to better understand transit needs and support for public transportation in urban and rural areas of Oregon.
