The program helps Oregon communities in several ways:
Grants help local communities plan for streets and land use in a way that creates livable, transportation-efficient communities and makes the best use of the state highway infrastructure.
Quick Response provides transportation-efficient design alternatives to development proposals.
Code Assistance helps local governments prepare or amend development codes to expand transportation choices for people.
The Outreach program introduces smart development concepts to local officials and community groups through workshops, a partnership program and technical assistance for practitioners.
