Oregon Department of Aviation

In addition, ODA is committed to the development and realization of its strategic plan by addressing statewide aviation issues, participating in multi-model coordination, carefully coordinating and managing aviation-related legislation, and providing assistance to aviation constituents, airport owners/sponsors and aviation system users throughout Oregon.

Bicycle and Pedestrian

/ODOT/TD/TP/PublishingImages/BikePed.jpg The Oregon Pedestrian and Bicycle Program provides direction to ODOT in establishing pedestrian and bicycle facilities on state highways. We also provide support to local governments, governmental and non-governmental organizations and private citizens, in planning, designing and constructing pedestrian and bicycle facilities.

Oregon Highway Division

The site gives information about transit providers, local transit service schedules, rideshare and carpool options, as well as information about grant programs available to support public transportation and rideshare services. Included are sections of interest to transit professionals and stakeholders about relevant meetings, research, guidance and studies.

Oregon Rail Division

/ODOT/TD/TP/PublishingImages/near_huntington_1.jpg The Oregon Rail Division encompasses, and regulates, many aspects of the rail industry within the state of Oregon. These aspects include setting policy involving freight and passenger rail transportation and implementing strategies to improve rail service, oversight of the rail fixed guideway systems (TriMet, Portland Street car, etc.), exclusive authority over all public railroad-highway crossings, enforcement of Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations concerning railroads (track and structures, locomotives and rail cars, operating practices, and hazardous materials), and enforcement of state rules pertaining to railroad employee safety.
