    Created in 1972, the State Landscape Contractors Board (LCB) licenses landscape contracting businesses and landscape construction professionals.  Landscape construction professionals must meet experience and/or education requirements and pass a competency exam.  Landscape contracting businesses must obtain a surety bond, submit evidence of liability insurance and employ or be owned by a licensed landscape construction professional.

 If you are currently in the exam process or wanting to become licensed, please be sure to review the exam information.

 

 PLANTING LICENSE

This license will allow a business to become licensed for planting without the individual passing the construction section of the exam.  This license is now available.

Joint Meeting
The Oregon Landscape Contractors Board and the Oregon State Landscape Architects Board held a joint meeting on June 11, 2014.  This meetiing was held to educate each agency about the other's jurisdiction and allowable work.  No decisions were made, but recommendations may be made from this meeting to the separate boards for follow up
 
PROPOSED RULE AMENDMENTS
THE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE FOLLOWING RULES HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 2, 2014.
Clarifies plantings that are agricultural services are exempt from  licensing;
Providing false information to the LCB is dishonest 
 
BOARD MEETING - September 19th
The next regularly scheduled board meeting is September 19, 2014 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Keizer Community Center at 930 Chemawa Road, Keizer.  If you would like to attend to earn CEH, please sign in with the time of your arrival and the time of your departure.  You will receive 1 CEH for every hour you attend.
