Enterprise Sustainability Dashboard

Oregon state government includes over 120 agencies, boards and commissions, along with over 44,000 employees. Collectively, these comprise the state government “enterprise,” which strives to lead by example in conserving resources in day-to-day operations.

By law, Oregon’s larger state agencies – those that own buildings or utilize the state’s fleet vehicles – regularly report on topics related to energy use, fuel consumption, vehicle miles traveled and purchase of new vehicles – along with greenhouse gas emissions contributing to climate change.

Using data reported to the Oregon Departments of Energy and Administrative Services, the Enterprise Sustainability Dashboard shares agency performance and trends related to building energy use and fleets. This reporting supports Oregon state government’s efforts to be transparent and accountable to Oregonians.

Given lags in data collection and reporting cycles, in most cases, data was collected through 2022. The dashboard will be updated annually as more recent data becomes available.

In future years, the Office of Sustainability also intends to add metrics related to agency water use, waste, sustainable procurement and other topics.
