Employee resources and state workforce

2022 State Employee Recognition

Every year we celebrate Public Service Recognition Week (May 1-7) and State Employee Recognition Day (May 4) with a variety of efforts to thank public employees for their service, make visible their important work and deepen connections between state agencies and the communities they serve. For this year's Public Service Recognition Week, we have chosen the theme of courage, to showcase state employees who have committed to taking steps forward, even when it's new and uncomfortable.

These last few years have been unlike any we have experienced as a state. The COVID-19 pandemic continued to contribute to the numerous challenges presented to us and have required public employees to be more courageous, innovative and nimble in the ways we work. We want to acknowledge and celebrate the courage of public employees and the important work they do every day.
