Employee resources and state workforce

2021 State Employee Recognition

Every year we celebrate Public Service Recognition Week (May 2-8) and State Employee Recognition Day (May 5) with a variety of efforts to thank public employees for their service, make visible their important work and deepen connections between state agencies and the communities they serve. For this year's Public Service Recognition Week, we have chosen the theme of resiliency, to showcase state employees who have persevered in the face of adversity and exemplified resilience in service to Oregon

Last year, 2020 was unlike any year we have experienced as a state. The COVID-19 pandemic, natural disasters and racial injustice have all contributed to the numerous challenges presented to us and have required public employees to be more innovative and nimble in the ways we work. We want to acknowledge and celebrate the resilience of public employees and the important work they do every day.
