Understanding why employees choose to transfer to another agency or leave Oregon state government is essential. To remain a strong and competitive employer in today's job market, agencies must identify the factors that influence retention and make informed efforts to strengthen their workforce.
To ensure consistent and meaningful data on why employees voluntarily leave state service, the DAS Chief Human Resource Office (CHRO) encourages all exiting employees to complete the exit interview in Workday®.
With Workday's data collection and reporting capabilities, this tool helps identify trends and highlight potential areas of concern that may be addressed through policy or practice improvements.
There are three exit surveys available in Workday
- Job Change – Same Agency
- Job Change – New Agency
- Termination
Employees may access Workday up to 90 days after termination to complete their exit interview form. This may be done using their personal device and instructions can be found on the Workday log in page Workday Oregon.
Agencies and DAS CHRO can generate Workday® reports using the available data.
For any questions, please contact DAS CHRO directly at CHRO.Training@oregon.gov.
