Contact an Inmate

Introduction

Ongoing contact with supportive family and friends is an important part of an inmate’s success in prison and upon release. Aside from visiting an inmate at their facility, there are three main ways to contact an inmate: phone calls, letters, and electronic communications.

If you are a professional (attorney, DHS worker, etc.) working with an inmate, see our Professional Visit and Communication Guide.
