Contact an Adult In Custody

Introduction

Ongoing contact with supportive family and friends is an important part of an adult in custody's success in prison and upon release. Aside from visiting an adult in custody at their facility, there are three main ways to contact an AIC: phone calls, letters, and electronic communications.

IN-PERSON PHONE VALIDATION ASSISTANCE EVENT

The Department of Corrections (DOC) will be holding an in-person event to assist friends and family with validating their phone numbers:

Where The Coffee Creek Correctional Facility Gatehouse

IMPORTANT: Avoid wearing ANY blue clothing to your visit. Adults in custody in the Oregon Department of Corrections facilities wear blue, so for security reasons, visitors will not be allowed into the facility if they are wearing blue and/or denim clothing.

All validation processes will require the person to know their name, address, and phone number that they are linking to the account. You will need to be able to receive a call or text at that number to finalize the validation process.

Validation options and items to bring to the event:

Option 1 - Online registration with validation by Credit Card.

Items to bring: Current Government ID and Credit Card with billing address that matches the address you will have on your account.

Option 2 - Online registration with validation by emailed copy of government ID and phone bill or prepaid receipt.

Items to bring: Current Government ID and either a current Phone Bill or prepaid receipt

Option 3 - Over the phone registration with validation by Credit Card.

Items to bring: Current Government ID and Credit Card with billing address that matches the address you will have on your account.

Option 4 - Over the phone registration with validation by emailed copy of government ID and phone bill or prepaid receipt.

Items to bring: Current Government ID and either a current Phone Bill or prepaid receipt

Option 5 - Over the phone registration with validation by mailed in copy of government ID and phone bill or prepaid receipt.

Items to bring: Current Government ID and either a current Phone Bill or prepaid receipt

Option 6 - Mail in registration and validation by a copy of government ID and phone bill or prepaid receipt.

Items to bring: Envelope, Postage, Current Government ID and either a current Phone Bill or prepaid receipt.
