Rulemaking Planning Calendar

  • December 22, 2025: public hearing held- educational requirements for unaccredited programs.
  • December 2025: Board to review public comments and potentially adopt rulemaking proposals- implement House Bill 2016 (2025) & amend the items required for licensure application
  • February 2026: Board reviewed the hearing report and public comments and adopted the rulemaking proposal- educational requirements for unaccredited programs.
  • April 2026: Board to consider rule amendments- update terms, accuracy in representations to the Board, applications, examination failure and study plan.
  • January to May 2026: the Board's Education/DEI Committee is reviewing rules related to continuing education and will potentially make recommendations to the full Board for review.
  • June 5, 2026: Board to consider:
    • Adopting permanent rule amendments- update terms, accuracy in representations to the Board, applications, examination failure and study plan.
    • Filing notice of proposed rulemaking- associate registration plans, registrant remedial action, duplicate licenses, continuing education, and records retention.
  • August 7, 2026: Board to consider adopting permanent rule amendments- associate registration plans, registrant remedial action, duplicate licenses, continuing education, and records retention.
  • November 6, 2026: Board may consider need for additional rulemaking during the annual strategic planning meeting.
