About Healthier Oregon
As of July 1, 2023, people of any age or immigration status are eligible for full Oregon Health Plan (OHP) benefits and services for people with disabilities.
The Healthier Oregon program offers free health coverage through the Oregon Health Plan for people who live in Oregon and meet income and other criteria.
Thanks to Healthier Oregon, more people also have access to services provided through the Office of Developmental Disabilities Services and the Office of Aging and People with Disabilities.

Healthier Oregon and immigration status
Most Healthier Oregon benefits should not be affected by the Public Charge ruling. There is an exception for long-term care services provided in a nursing facility or state hospital.

About ODDS' services and supports
Healthier Oregon ensures all people who meet intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) eligibility can get services, regardless of their immigration status or age. These services include, but are not limited to:
- Help with activities like bathing, dressing, eating, communication, movement or accessing the community
- Assistive technology
