Expanding Options for Biking, Walking, and Rolling
This project included targeted improvements to local bicycle and pedestrian routes, in partnership with City of Beaverton and Washington County. The improvements complete the north/south parallel bicycle and pedestrian network and included key enhancements to east/west routes.
New Sidewalks and Bike Lanes on Hall Boulevard in Beaverton
We built a new sidewalk and bike lanes on the Hall Boulevard overpass between Cascade Avenue and Scholls Ferry Road in Beaverton by widening the bridge by 19 feet. This extra width allowed space for a new sidewalk and bike lane on the
north side of the overpass and a new bike lane on the south side of the
overpass. Before this work, there were no marked bike lanes on this overpass and there was a sidewalk on just one side. These changes provide a much-needed connection for
people bicycling, walking and rolling between Scholls Ferry Road and Cascade
Avenue and allow all travelers more space to cross the overpass safely.

Wider Sidewalk on Denney Road
We widened the sidewalk on the north side of the Denney Road overpass by 4.5 feet to accommodate two-way bicycle and pedestrian traffic.

Extended the Fanno Creek Trail
We partnered with the City of Beaverton to extend the Fanno Creek Trail along the east side of OR 217 to Allen Boulevard. This is a section that was missing and completes the OR 217 parallel bike path network from OR 99W to Allen Boulevard.
