Wildfire Recovery Spotlights

The 2020 Labor Day wildfires and straight-line winds brought widespread devastation to communities across Oregon, destroying homes, displacing families, and reshaping entire towns. In the aftermath, Oregonians came together to begin the long process of rebuilding and recovery.

Through Oregon Housing and Community Services’ (OHCS) Disaster Recovery and Resilience (DRR) division, several programs and partnerships were launched to help survivors heal, rebuild, and recover from the disasters.

On this page, we celebrate the resilience, courage, and success of those who participated in these programs. Below you will find stories of loss, perseverance, and triumph.

We invite you to explore these stories and see firsthand how these efforts are making a difference, one home and one household at a time.
