The OLCC's Board of Commissioners play a crucial role in establishing policies for the agency. The board is composed of nine members selected by the Governor. Each congressional district within the state must have one representative on the board. Additionally, there must be one commissioner from eastern Oregon, one from western Oregon, and one representing the general public. Another commissioner is required to come from the food and alcoholic beverage retail sector. The commissioners are responsible for appointing the agency's executive director, who acts as the commission's secretary and is in charge of maintaining its records.
