Governance, Policy, and Standards Subcommittee

This subcommittee is responsible for gathering information and making recommendations to the Board concerning (1) the development of and revisions to commission bylaws, (2) the development of and revisions to policies and standards described in ORS 151.216, and (3) any additional actions that will ensure good governance of the OPDC.

Legislative and Policy Impact Subcommittee

This subcommittee is responsible for the following: (1) reviewing and providing feedback on public safety legislation that could impact public defense to assist agency staff in responding to legislative requests; (2) reviewing, providing feedback, and recommending adoption of Commission reports due to the Legislature, and (3) suggesting substantive law changes that could aid the work of the Commission that could be included in the standard legislative process followed by the Governor’s Office.
