  • Visiting hours: Daily, 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., by appointment only.

  • You must schedule your visit at least 24 hours in advance. To schedule, call 503-842-4243, Ext. 326. You may also tell your youth, and they will inform staff.

Keeping Our Environments Safe

The Oregon Youth Authority wants to make sure the buildings in our facilities are safe for everyone who uses them.

We monitor, test, and have plans for dealing with several potential environmental issues in our facilities.
Lead in Water
In 2017, we did lead and copper testing on water from all outlets used for drinking or cooking at all facilities. Learn about the test results and our remediation work on our Testing Water for Lead webpage.
Some materials used to construct buildings at some of OYA's facilities contain asbestos. Learn which facilities, and about how we have safely managed these materials, by reading our fact sheet on asbestos.
