| Datamart Server Upgrade Update |
|
The implementation of the upgraded Datamart server is moving forward with planned implementation in May 2008. Agencies will need to make plans to check their Datamart connections prior to the cutover to the upgraded Datamart server or risk losing access to the Datamart. To continue accessing the Datamart once the upgraded server is moved into production you may need to upgrade the client software on your local computer.
The upgraded Datamart server will work with version 8 or 9 drivers. If you are using a version 7 copy of the driver you must upgrade prior to the switch over to the upgraded Datamart server. The newer drivers work with both the existing Datamart server as well as the upgraded server.

v9fp4a_en_US_setup.exe - The actual IBM DB2 Runtime Client version 9. Click on this link and save to your local computer.
DB2UDB1.EXE - IBM DB2 Version 7 install file (includes setting up the ODBC connections to SFMSP and BRIODB1.) If you experience any connection issues with the upgraded version 9 driver provided above you can uninstall the version 9 driver, download this file and reinstall the version 7 driver.

We are currently recruiting to fill the Datamart Business Analyst position, which provides the classroom Datamart training. Until this position can be filled and training classes resume we are providing copies of the classroom training manuals here to assist you in learning Hyperion.
Hyperion Basic Intelligence Manual (pdf)
Learn the basics about the Datamart, table information, how to set up an OCE, running queries in Hyperion, how to manipulate your results, limits & sorts, and how to build queries.
Hyperion Intermediate Intelligence Manual (pdf)
Learn advanced topics including pivot reports, free-form reports, computed fields, dashboards and how to access the repository reports.
These trainings take place at the Oregon State Library in a computer lab setting. All classes are hands-on instructor led classes.
Each session lasts 4 hours and training documentation is provided. Classes are limited to 10 participants. Registration is required.

| New User Setup for SCD Accounting & OSPA Datamart |
|
To access data from the SCD Accounting and OSPA Datamart, you must have an IBM DB2 driver and Hyperion ad-hoc reporting software installed. Also, your agency security officer will need to request a Datamart password for you. After these items are installed and you have your password, you will need to set up an Open Catalog Extension (OCE) through your Hyperion software. Documentation is provided below or you may use the link for easy install. The link to install your IBM DB2 driver is in the ODBC Drivers and IRMD/GGDC link below.
