Employee resources and state workforce

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Classification and Compensation unit is responsible for maintaining the state's compensation plan for approximately 40,000 employees in classified, unclassified, and management service positions. The unit is also responsible for development and maintenance of the classification system. 



Executive branch employees (except AEE and AFSCME Parole & Probation) who are Public Employee Retirement System (PERS) participating members will have the base salary increased by 6.95% and pay the 6% employee contribution to PERS.  Employees who are not yet a PERS participating member, will receive the 6.95% pay increase and begin the 6% employee contribution upon participating in PERS.
