The Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA) is now accepting applications for specialty body piercing, including specialty
trainees, supervisors and license applicants. Please note that specialty piercing is prohibited in Oregon if an individual does not have the appropriate specialty level one or two piercing license.
OHLA is also proposing changes to Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs) for specialty body piercing that would eliminate theory hours of education/training and eliminate the written examination for specialty piercing. OHLA has adopted temporary rules that eliminate theory hours and the written examination for specialty piercing effective April 1, 2013.
