Key Initiatives


The Board continues to work on initiatives to bring project management and business analysis information to state, county, and local project management and business analysis practitioners.


A couple of the key initiatives for the Oregon Project Management Advisory Board are as follows: 

Annual Project Management Conference

The Board and Project Management Institute Willamette Valley chapter partner to deliver the annual Project Management Willamette Valley conference. See the PMI Willamette Valley Partnership page for more information .

Oregon Project Management Certification Program

The Board markets and delivers the program, checks in regularly, and hosts the graduation celebration at the end of each cohort. The Board also monitors changes to PMBOK for materials updates. For more information, see the Oregon Project Management Certification Program website. 

 

A couple of the past accomplishments for the Board are as follows: 

Established the Project Management User Group (PMUG)

The Board established PMUG to build a statewide project management community through regular engagements. PMUG meets the third (3) Wednesday bi-monthly from 3:00pm to 4:30pm. See the Project Management User Group tab for more information.

 

Established the Business Analyst Networking Group (BANG)

The Board established BANG to develop expectations, practices, classifications, and share understanding, or provide opportunities for connection. BANG meets bi-monthly and a newsletter is published between forums. See the Business Analyst Networking Group website.
