Oregon Project Management & Business Analysis Training

The DAS Chief Human Resources Office offers training on project management, business analysis, and portfolio management for Oregon state government and local government employees.  Below is a listing of the training programs offered on a regular basis.

The OPMCP is the Oregon state government's premier project management development program. It is available to all state employees and local governments. The OPMCP is designed to develop leaders in all the project management disciplines. This certification program includes 14 training classes (modules) over a 4-5 month period.   To receive certification, students must pass a post-test after each module and pass a final exam. Students who pass these exams will then be certified as an Oregon Project Management Associate (OPMA) and will receive a certificate signed by the Governor.

The Oregon Project Management Associate (OPMA) certification has been added to Oregon state governments Project Manager Classifications and is equivalent to one year of project management experience. The OPMA certification also counts as one year of experience to meet the minimum qualifications for other classifications/positions that include project management duties such as, but not limited to, Operation and Policy Analyst, Program Analysts, and Information Systems Specialists.
