A background check fee of $45 is required for all new applicants or if you are renewing a certification or license that expired more than four years ago. You must also include fingerprints with your application. A background check fee is not required if you are adding a certification.A late fee of $35 is required for all applications if your application is received after the expiration date. You may renew up to six months in advance to avoid a late fee.
24 hour Firearm Basic Course (you must have more than six months remaining on the unarmed certification)
A manager license does not allow a manager to provide professional security services, you must also renew the professional certification if you provide professional security services and pay the professional certification fee.
New instructors must meet the pre-requisite of three (3) years of private security, law enforcement, or military police within the last ten (10) years from the application date. Renewing instructors must complete eight (8) hours of continuing education per instructor certification that benefits their skills as an instructor.
