Requirements for Employees

Private Security Entities must provide the following to the employed private security providers:
*Template document provided as a courtesy as an example of what each document could include. 
Private security entities must provide a written statement of employee rights and remedies to each private security provider at the time of hiring which includes information regarding the following Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS) and United States Codes(U.S.C):

a. Private Security Entities must provide a written statement of employee rights and remedies to each private security provider at the time of hiring. The statement of employee rights and remedies must provide a plain language description of the employee's rights and remedies. This information can be found on our website, using the following form Statement of​ Employee Rights and Remedies. It includes all the necessary Oregon Administrative Rules and Oregon Revised Statutes, however, you can provide your employees with as much comprehensive information as you like.

b. Terms and conditions of employment, including method of computing the rate of compensation. A template of this form is found on our website, under Employee Notices.

c. A written statement itemizing the total payment and amount and purpose of each deduction from the total payment, hours worked and rate of pay each time the employee receives a compensation payment. An example of this form​ is found on our website, under Employee Notices.​
