Employing Private Security Professionals

Employers of Private Security Professionals in Oregon must have the following:

  1. At least one person must be licensed at the level of an Executive Manager. The Executive Manager is not required to reside in the state of Oregon. 

  2. The executive manager must ensure all individuals providing private security services are certified or licensed as a private security provider. 

  3. Be in compliance with Oregon Administrative Rule Chapter 259 Division 59 Private Security Entity Licensing.

A business is not required to have a physcial office in Oregon to provide private security or alarm monitoring in Oregon.
