It is with great pleasure that we announce the Oregon Emergency Management Conference, a collaborative event sponsored by the Oregon Emergency Management Association and the Oregon Department of Emergency Management.
This joint conference will bring together what were previously the Oregon Prepared Conference and the OEMA Conference into one statewide event.
This
partnership is an exciting opportunity to bring Oregon’s emergency management community together in a more unified and accessible way. By combining our efforts into a single conference, we hope to reduce some of the funding and travel challenges that can make attending multiple professional development events difficult while creating more opportunities for connection, learning, and collaboration.
More importantly, this conference reflects the shared mission, values, and commitment of Oregon’s emergency management community, with the overall goal of strengthening and connecting Oregon’s emergency management community. By bringing together the resources of both our agencies, we can create a larger, more inclusive event that embraces an all-hazards approach and helps reduce barriers to participation across the profession.
We are looking forward to welcoming emergency management professionals and partners from across Oregon to this new collaborative event.
