2026 Ready Fair

The Oregon Department of Emergency Management (OEM) is thrilled to invite you to the Ready Fair on Saturday, October 10, 2026. This is a free, family-friendly event open to the public that is designed to help our community build resilience and preparedness. 

This event brings together subject matter experts and community partners to share practical tips and resources aligned with OEM’s Be 2 Weeks Ready program. Learn how to prepare for emergencies by becoming self-sufficient for at least two weeks following a disaster that disrupts daily life.

  • Preparedness for All Ages with kid-friendly stations and hands-on learning 
  • Food Trucks and a chance to win a fully stocked emergency go-bag for your family

Oregon Department of Emergency Management is compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act, including designated parking, ramps, automatic doors, and accessible restrooms. ​To help ensure a safe, accessible, and comfortable environment for all participants, only service animals are permitted at the Ready Fair.

​No, all activities are free to experience except for the food trucks.

​No, meals must be purchased from the food trucks on site.

​There will be booths inside the OEM building along with Emergency Coordinator Center and radio room tours, and the kids’ activities. The earthquake simulator, escape room, and other large displays will be outside in the parking lot.

​Up to 8 people can be in the earthquake simulator.

​The earthquake simulator will shake for about 10 seconds.
