Mail Order Pharmacy Services

Learn How to Get Covered Drugs and Diabetic Supplies by Mail

Mail order pharmacy can send you covered drugs or diabetic supplies in the mail. You can order a three-month supply. Each month, the pharmacy will mail your monthly supply. They can send it to a residential address, PO Box or clinic.

Members with ongoing monthly prescriptions covered by OHP can use this service.

Mail order pharmacy isn't for everyone.

  • You may prefer to talk to a pharmacist in person about new medications.
  • Are you and your doctor trying different drugs to see which one works best for you? If so, don't sign up for home delivery until you find the one you will take long-term.

If you need the medicine right away, you should visit a local pharmacy. It can take up to 10 days for your prescriptions to come in the mail.

OHP members can use this service for ongoing, covered fee-for-service prescriptions for drugs and diabetic supplies. These include prescriptions for:
  • Members not enrolled in a coordinated care organization (CCO) for medical care.
  • Drugs not covered by CCOs, such as most mental health drugs.
  • Drugs covered by OHP, but not Medicare (such as certain decongestants).

You or your prescribing provider can start the process. Be sure to have the prescription number and your Oregon Health ID number handy.
  • Allow 8-10 days between ordering and delivery of your medications.
  • When it's time for a refill, you will get a reminder in the mail. Make sure to place refill orders about 14 days before your current supply runs out.
Call 800-552-6694 (Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.).

You can also call to transfer existing prescriptions to home delivery. You can transfer them from a local pharmacy or another mail order pharmacy.

Mail the prescription to:

PPS
PO Box 2718
Portland, OR 97208

Ask your CCO if they provide a mail order pharmacy service.

If you are not in a CCO that covers your medical care, visit the PPS website.
