Idaho Power's CPCN Application for B2H Project

The Oregon Public Utility Commission (PUC) is hosting two events to provide convenient opportunities for the public to comment on Idaho Power’s application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity (CPCN). Idaho Power is in the process of permitting and constructing a 300-mile transmission line that would connect its Hemingway substation in Idaho to a substation near Boardman, Oregon. The transmission line is better known as the Board to Hemingway or B2H project. These events provide the public opportunities to speak directly to the Commissioners about the application with the PUC to issue a CPCN related to this project. If granted, Idaho Power would use this certificate in any court proceeding where it seeks to condemn an interest in land along the transmission line’s path. We encourage you to provide your thoughts.
