The Oregon Public Utility Commission (PUC) relies on a variety of applications to support its business functions related to the conduct of official proceedings. These include a custom-built legacy "BizApps" docketing system and Huddle, a third party service for eDiscovery. The PUC seeks to replace these systems with an integrated, cohesive, and efficient solution for internal and external stakeholders doing business with the PUC. By replacing the outdated and unsupported docketing system, the PUC will be better equipped to serve stakeholders and the citizens of Oregon with the new Activities and Discovery System.

The contract to implement, maintain, and support a consolidated Dockets and Discovery system has been signed by all parties. Aeon Nexus Corporation is the selected vendor for this project.
There has been a great deal of activity on this project in recent weeks. The contractor (AeonNexus) conducted a kick-off meeting, a project demonstration, report requirement meetings, a portal design meeting, a system security meeting, and a legacy table meeting. The participation by PUC staff during the meeting to discuss report requirements was extremely valuable and will help ensure the program will meet the expectations of staff, utilities, and stakeholders.
Through June, there will be additional meetings to enable AeonNexus to start the system build. A special thanks to Qing Liu and Diane Davis who have worked tirelessly on this project. We recognize that thorough work in the beginning of the project will allow for future success.
