Want to help support Youth Services across Oregon?
Serve as a Youth Grants evaluator and help evaluate grant applications for youth services for the YDO 2025-2027 grant cycle.
Youth Development Oregon (YDO) would like to invite you to become Youth Grants application evaluator as part of our 2025-2027 Youth Grants Request for Applications (RFA) process. As an evaluator, you will help identify some of the most promising community-based programs supporting Oregon’s youth.

Who can Volunteer?
Anyone interested in helping to support our focus on youth across Oregon can volunteer. Including:
Current and prior YDO grantees not applying for or associated with an organization applying within the specific RFA being evaluated.
Youth Councils, Advisory Boards, and other Youth Leadership groups associated with youth programming not applying for or associated with an organization applying within the specific RFA being evaluated.
As this is an online and official state evaluation process, we do ask that all volunteers be over 18 years of age, be able to access our online evaluator platform through a reliable internet connection and be able to meet briefly during regular business hours as needed for a short training/meeting.

2) Job and Work Readiness Grant (JWR)
3) Community Investment Grant (CI)

As a grant application evaluator, you will receive online evaluator access, training, and support throughout the evaluation process. The evaluation process will begin with an online staff-led evaluator orientation/training at the beginning of each evaluation window.
Each individual evaluator will be tasked with evaluating approximately 10-15 applications. Evaluations should take about 6 to 10 hours. Each application will be randomly assigned to an evaluation team – more about this process will be provided in the training.
