Hair Braiding/Weaving
Q:  I'd like to provide hair braiding and weaving services.  Do I need to be certified?

A:  Yes.  Hair braiding is specified in the definition of hair design under OAR 817-005-0005(33).  Hair weaving is considered part of hair styling, which is specified in the definition of both barbering and hair design under ORS 690.005(1) and (9).
