What Is a Licensed Dietitian?
|
|
Licensed dietitians work with you and your healthcare provider to determine your nutritional needs and goals, in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
State law defines "dietetics practice” as "...the integration and application of principles derived from the sciences of nutrition, biochemistry, food, management, physiology and behavioral and social sciences to achieve and maintain the health of people...."

Board of Licensed Dietitians Joins Oregon Health Licensing Agency
|

With the passage of Senate Bill 939 in 2011, the Board of Licensed Dietitians became the 11th volunteer citizen board to join the Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA). Previously named the Board of Examiners of Licensed Dietitians, the Oregon State Legislature created the board in 1989 and it has operated as a stand-alone board until passage of SB 939.

Licensed Dietitians May Now Renew Online
|
Licensed dietitians may now renew their license online at  http://www.oregon.gov/OHLA/pages/onlinerenewals.aspx. The required online survey for the Office for Oregon Health Policy and Research has been integrated into the online license renewal system, allowing licensed dietitians to renew online and take the survey at the same time. Online license renewal is fast, easy and secure. Just follow the instructions to renew online, 24 hours a day!

Right Content Licensed Dietitians Required to Take Survey Effective May 1, 2012
Beginning May 1, 2012, all individuals applying as new licensed dietitians and all those applying for renewal will be required to complete an online survey for the Office for Oregon Health Policy and Research. The survey can be found at: |

The Oregon Health Licensing Agency (OHLA) now offers online access to all regularly scheduled full board meetings. All you have to do is click on the link on the meeting notice of the meeting you'd like to view at the time the meeting is scheduled.
