Joel Glass

Joel R. Glass, RPSGT is a registered polysomnographic technologist and is currently Program Manager for Pacific Sleep Program, where he has worked since 1994.
Starting as President Elect, Mr. Glass became President of the Oregon Sleep Society in November of 2011. He has previously been Oregon Representative of the Pacific Northwest Sleep Association for two meeting cycles and enjoys speaking and educating on sleep, having presented at local and regional meetings over the years.  As one of the primary authors of Senate Bill 723, that advocated for Sleep Technologists licensure, he is proud of his contributions that finally established a scope of practice for sleep technologists.
Mr. Glass was originally trained as a Oregon emergency medical technician 1, 2, & 3 through Portland Community and Clackamas Community colleges, then obtained his credential as a registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT) in 1996 while working at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital.  In his free time he likes to spend time with his family living in rural Oregon, and serve his community as a local volunteer fire district board member.
"I have had the fortunate opportunity to grow with and be trained in the field of polysomnographic technology in the beginning of a period of very dynamic growth," he says.  "As a technologist trained during this time I acquired a unique skill set that bridged worlds, the new digital and strictly clinical location and the analog-based world of the regional center conducting both clinical and research activities."
