ODOT Employees

The correct version of the workspace for MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, OpenSite Designer, and OpenBridge Modeler is automatically downloaded to your computer based upon the version of the Bentley CAD software that you have installed. ODOT Employees may select the Custom Configuration of the OregonDOT WorkSpace and the ODOT WorkSet when using the CAD software with DGN files that are stored locally or in personal/crew server shares. When accessing DGNs stored in ProjectWise, the project WorkSet will automatically be used in conjunction with the current OregonDOT WorkSpace on your C: drive.

The OregonDOT | ODOT Custom Configuration for the current CAD platform (v2024) may be copied from ftp://ftp.odot.state.or.us/isb/appeng/ODOT_workspace/ (Copy and paste this link into File Explorer; Chrome and Edge browsers do not work well with FTP.) Copy and paste "v2024_External_ODOT.zip" to your own computer. Extract to C:\. Additional steps to configure or update are found in the "Readme ODOT v2024 workspace.pdf" in the same FTP folder.

Workspaces for previous versions of OpenRoads and OpenSite Designer may be copied from: ftp://ftp.odot.state.or.us/isb/appeng/ODOT_workspace/_Previous_Workspace_Versions/ (Copy and paste this link into File Explorer; Chrome and Edge browsers do not work well with FTP.)

WorkSpace Changes

The OregonDOT WorkSpace is updated for changes to resource files each month and a spreadsheet of affected files is sent out. Send an email to odot.east@odot.oregon.gov to be included in the Consultant WorkSpace Update distribution list.
