ODOT Workspace & Updates

ODOT Employees

  • The V10 Configuration for MicroStation CONNECT Edition and OpenRoads Designer is automatically downloaded to your computer after the CONNECT software is installed. ODOT Employees may select the ODOT_CONNECT WorkSpace and the ODOT WorkSet when using the CONNECT software and DGN files stored locally or in personal or crew server shares. When accessing DGNs stored in ProjectWise, the project WorkSet will automatically be used in conjunction with the ODOT_CONNECT WorkSpace from your C: drive.
  • The V8i workspace has been frozen and is more than 2 years behind the ODOT_CONNECT workspace. However, the old V8i workspace is automatically downloaded to ODOT computers if Power InRoads V8i is installed.

  • The ODOT_CONNECT custom configuration for MicroStation CONNECT Edition Update 16 (v10.16.02.34) and OpenRoads Designer 2021 Release 2 (v10.10.21.04) may be downloaded from ftp://ftp.odot.state.or.us/isb/appeng/CONNECT/ (Paste this link into File Explorer; Chrome and Edge browsers do not work well with FTP.)  Extract to C:\. Additional steps to configure are found in the Readme_ODOT_CONNECT_PW.pdf in the same FTP folder.
  • ODOT V8i workspace may be downloaded from ftp://ftp.odot.state.or.us/isb/appeng/MicroStation/V8i/  (Paste this link into File Explorer; Chrome and Edge browsers do not work well with FTP.)  Additional steps to configure and launch are found in the Readme_ODOTspace.html in the same FTP folder.

RESOLVED - Error opening file - Consultants Only

ODOT has resolved the issue between OpenRoads Designer CE v10.10 and MicroStation CE v10.16, and ProjectWise Explorer Client versions greater than 10.00.03.299, that was preventing DGNs from being edited from our ProjectWise datasource. If your firm uses a ProjectWise Explorer version other than 10.00.03.299 and continues to receive an alert "Error opening file...", please email odot.east@odot.oregon.gov to let us know.

Workspace Updates

ODOT's V8i workspace has been frozen.

The ODOT_CONNECT WorkSpace is updated monthly and a spreadsheet of updated files is sent out. Send an email to  odot.east@odot.oregon.gov to be included in the Consultant V10 Update distribution list.
