The Great Oregon Shakeout

The Great ShakeOut is an earthquake drill designed to help Oregonians practice how to "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" during an earthquake. By participating, you will not only contribute to your own organization’s preparedness but also promote safety awareness throughout our communities.

How to Participate  

By participating in the ShakeOut, you’re not just practicing safety drills; you’re fostering a culture of preparedness that can save lives and strengthen community resilience.  

  • Register your organization at shakeout.org/oregon.   
  • Plan a drill for your group, incorporating educational materials available on our website.   
  • Spread the word within your community to encourage others to join in.  
  • Play the newly released Cascadia 9.1 and Cascadia 9.2 video games at Cascadia9game.org to learn more about earthquake preparedness.
