2027-2029 Disaster Recovery and Resilience Proposals

Policy Option Packages

Authorization to spend down the remaining Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) dollars - TBD

  • Specific to 2020 Labor Day wildfires and straight-line winds
  • OHCS is required to seek legislative authorization to spend down the CDBG-DR funds allocated by the federal government to fund wildfire recovery from the 2020 Labor Day wildfires and straight-line winds. In line with the ongoing status of ReOregon programs and need across the state for recovery resources, OHCS is requesting that authorization. The grant expires on Feb. 2, 2031.

Staffing for post-CDBG-DR: Recovery Support Functions - TBD

  • Staffing and local support is needed (post CDBG-DR grant) to accomplish the required tasks in State Recovery Functions assigned with OHCS in Recovery Support Function 5 of Oregon’s comprehensive emergency management plan. Some will be for OHCS and others for local organization support.
