The Intermediate Housing Assistance (IHA) program is closed to new applications

Down Payment Assistance (DPA) and Housing Counseling Services are still accepting applications

See if you qualify

You may be eligible for Housing Support Services if you were affected by the 2020 Labor Day wildfires and straight-line winds and lived in one of the following counties at that time: Clackamas, Douglas, Jackson, Klamath, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, or Marion.

Housing Support Services includes multiple programs, and each one has different eligibility requirements. To find out if you qualify, visit the program pages below for full eligibility details.

Some programs may prioritize households with lower incomes or verified home losses.

Our programs

We offer two types of assistance: guidance on financial and housing challenges and support for homebuyers with down payment and closing costs. Intermediate Housing Assistance is closed to new applications.

One application covers all available programs you qualify for.

Intermediate Housing Assistance (IHA)

IHA

IHA provides short-term housing needs such as rent and utility costs. Note that participants are required to pay 30% of their monthly adjusted income toward rent.

As of July 1, 2026, IHA is closed to new applications.

Down Payment Assistance Program

DPA

This pathway provides assistance with down payment and closing costs for qualified first time homebuyers who may need additional financial support.

A home must be purchased within one of the eight affected counties, but it does not have to be in the county where your previous home was damaged or where you currently live.
