Each youth at Eastern has an account that family and friends can add money to. Youth can use this money for canteen (e.g., food and hygiene items) and special purchases.
Only people who are on the youth’s approved visitors or phone lists may put money on their account.
You may not give money directly to your youth. You can add money to your youth's account in three ways:
- in person at the Eastern front desk
- as you enter visitation
- by mail — we accept checks and money orders. Checks and money orders should be made out to Oregon Youth Authority, with the youth’s name in the “memo” line.
