DLCD creates a variety of online maps, tools, and data for use by the public, stakeholders, and local planners. DLCD also supports the creation and maintenance of some online planning resources targeted for local jurisdictions who may not have the funds to invest in the creation of their own data and maps. Data Resources
GIS Data
DLCD creates GIS (geographic information systems) datasets that are available for free download from the new Framework data repository
GEOHub, or the Oregon Spatial Data Library. The data are created as part of the
Oregon Framework Program, which coordinates GIS data creation and maintenance for a set of foundational data layers for all state agencies in Oregon. DLCD participates in the Framework Program by creating needed data layers and maintaining them for long-term use. These GIS data are available for download or consumption via web services.

Population Forecasts
DLCD partners with the Portland State University Population Research Center to create population forecasts for cities and counties in Oregon. Oregon's land use planning program relies on population forecasts as a primary tool for determining urban growth boundary (UGB) expansions, as well as for creating planning policy. See the
