Resolved - Error opening file - Consultants Only
ODOT has resolved the issue between OpenRoads Designer CE v10.10 and MicroStation CE v10.16, and ProjectWise Explorer Client versions greater than, that was preventing DGNs from being edited from our ProjectWise datasource. If your firm uses a ProjectWise Explorer version other than and continues to receive an alert "Error opening file...", please email to let us know.

What is ProjectWise?

ProjectWise is a document management system that allows project teams to collaborate securely and electronically on Oregon Department of Transportation design projects.

Use of ProjectWise at ODOT

We use ProjectWise for scoping, maintenance and Statewide Transportation Improvement Program projects.

ProjectWise allows ODOT to expedite the project delivery cycle, reduce costs, store documents and enhance collaboration and business workflow.

Please note, information for each individual working in the ProjectWise environment is required.

Installation of the ODOT ProjectWise Naming Tool Add-On will help you with naming the files without copying and pasting into the general tab.
