Public Transportation Advisory Committee Work Groups

The Public Transportation Advisory Committee utilizes work groups to develop recommendations regarding specific issues.

These work groups provide updates on progress to the Public Transportation Advisory Committee at regularly scheduled meetings or at the Chair's request. Final decisions from each work group are brought as recommendations to the Public Transportation Advisory Committee for a vote.

Executive Committee

Chair: Cosette Rees

This committee is composed of the Oregon Department of Transportation Public Transportation Division Administrator, the Public Transportation Advisory Committee Chair and Vice-Chair, and a cross-section of several Public Transportation Committee members.
The Executive Committee meets on an as-needed basis to address urgent or time-sensitive issues, to accomplish specific initiatives, and to identify any needed communications, topics, and information.

ADA Work Group

Chair: Julie Wilcke

The ADA Workgroup, which reports to the Public Transportation Advisory Committee, was formed in response to the settlement reached between the Oregon Department of Transportation and the Association of Oregon Centers for Independent Living. The group gathers input from residents, officials and ODOT staff as it considers barriers and issues people with disabilities face while accessing transit statewide.

This workgroup meets regularly. If you're interested in this group or participating in a future meeting, please contact Carroll Cottingham.

Current Work:

The ADA Workgroup is surveying riders and providers throughout the state to gather information on best practices and successes of creating accessible bus stops that meet ADA standards and beyond. Please take the 10 minute Transit Rider Survey.
